BYD Announces Alfredo Altavilla As Special Adviser For The European Market
- Effective September 2, his incorporation marks a crucial step in BYD’s strategy to strengthen and consolidate its presence in this key market.
29th August – BYD, a global leader in new energy vehicles and electric batteries, announces the incorporation of Alfredo Altavilla as Special Adviser for its European market. This joining reinforces the brand's commitment to expanding and consolidating its presence in one of the most important and strategic markets globally.
Alfredo Altavilla, an executive with a distinguished career in the automotive industry, holds a degree in Economics from Università Cattolica of Milan and brings a wealth of experience in leadership and business development.
From November 2012 to August 2018, Altavilla served as Chief Operating Officer for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East (EMEA) at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), where he was also a member of the Group Executive Council (GEC) and Head of Global Business Development since September 2011. He served also as CEO of Iveco, Fiat Powertrain Technologies, Tofas and Executive Chairman of ITA Airways.

Additionally, he serves on the Investment Committee of Vasuky, a Tech VC fund sponsored by Rothschild&Co.
