29 September 2026   BYD Commercial Vehicles is celebrating the B12.b HF’s win in the “Intercity” category of the Sustainable Bus Award 2027 at FIAA Madrid 2026. Selected by an international jury of specialist journalists, the award recognises the vehicle’s contribution to zero-emission intercity transport, through its operating capability and electric-vehicle technology.

Designed for intercity, commuter and tourism services, the B12.b HF expands BYD’s battery-electric bus portfolio into long-distance transport. Combining passenger comfort, generous luggage capacity and a range of up to 407 miles on a single charge, it features BYD’s Blade Battery structurally integrated into the chassis. This purpose-built platform reflects BYD’s in-house expertise in battery, vehicle and powertrain development.

With a focus on competitive total cost of ownership compared with conventional fuel-powered alternatives, BYD aims to make zero-emission transport both economically viable and operationally sustainable.

From award-winning technology to everyday fleet operations
For European transport authorities and operators, the transition to electric mobility goes beyond the vehicle itself.
