Not for Publication: BYD attends Company Car in Action 2026

  • BYD will bring nine models to CCIA 2026 for test drives
  • The e-Vali van will also make its UK show debut on the Vehicle in Action stand
  • CCIA takes place at UTAC Millbrook on 10-11th June

03 June 2026  BYD, the world’s leading new energy vehicle manufacturer, is proud to be attending Company Car in Action, offering attendees the opportunity to drive nine different models, while also displaying the new e-Vali panel van at a UK show for the first time, from 10 to 11th June 2026 at UTAC Millbrook.

Among the vehicles available to drive will be several newcomers to CCIA, the newest of which is the DOLPHIN Cargo e-Van. This takes the award-winning DOLPHIN hatchback and adapts it for light commercial vehicle use. Using the same 60.4kWh battery as the DOLPHIN, the Cargo e-Van offers a class-leading WLTP range of up to 347 miles in city driving and 265 miles combined, enabling users to maximise the versatility of its 318kg payload.

Also making its debut at CCIA will be the e-Vali. The fully electric panel van will be on display at the Vans In Action stand. The e-Vali will deliver BYD’s blade battery technology to the LCV market, combining cutting-edge battery technology with the ability to carry a payload of up to 1,450kg.

Since the 2025 event, several Super Hybrid with Dual Mode technology models have launched, and four of these will be able to drive on the day. Each uses the 1.5-litre Xiaoyun petrol engine with industry-leading thermal efficiency, acting primarily as a generator to charge a Blade Battery, giving the responsiveness and refinement of a full EV with the flexibility and range of a petrol. Since the launch of the first DM-i product in 2024, the SEAL U, BYD has sold almost 36,000 plug-in hybrids in the UK. Indeed, the trailblazing SEAL U will be available to drive at CCIA, spearheading a selection of four DM-i models.

The latest DM-i model to join the range is the ATTO 2 DM-i. Following on from its UK launch on 2nd June, CCIA attendees will get an early opportunity to sample the supermini SUV capable of a range of up to 621 miles and with a starting price of £26,995.

Starting from £29,995, the SEALION 5 DM-i sits a class larger than the ATTO 2 DM-i within the BYD range. It brings a generous standard equipment list to the family SUV segment; luxury features like a 360 degree camera, heated front seats, wireless smartphone charging and an electric tailgate all feature as standard on the Design trim.

Buyers who prefer a more traditional saloon or estate body style – yet still with cutting edge DM-i technology, can sample the SEAL 6 – and test drives of the Touring model will be offered on the day. Its combination of a 19kWh battery and a 65-litre fuel tank means that the Touring can cover up to 838 miles on a full tank and a full charge, yet it combines this efficiency with a spacious cabin and a 500-litre boot.

Despite this ever-growing range of plug-in hybrid models, fully electric powertrains still play a significant role in BYD’s UK line-up. From the supermini DOLPHIN SURF, with a range of up to 200 miles, to the SEALION 7, the mid-size SUV with a 91.3kWh battery and up to 530PS, there will be a wealth of models available to test drive.

In addition, two familiar faces have received updates for 2026. The ATTO 3 Evo has benefitted from a complete overhaul, with significant improvements to range, charging speeds, performance and practicality over the model it replaces – all while occupying the same footprint on the road.

The striking SEAL saloon also introduces revisions for this year. Among the changes are repackaged storage areas which increase both frunk and boot capacity, new colours, a new 19-inch alloy wheel design and the introduction of a Driver Monitoring System.

Company Car in Action is a key UK fleet driving event, giving fleet professionals hands-on access to hundreds of vehicles. CCIA 2026 will be held at UTAC Millbrook on June 10-11, 2026, and in addition to availability of various BYD test drives, a range of presentations, exhibitions, Q&A sessions, and roundtable discussions will be taking place across the two-day event.

Claudio de Freitas, Head of Fleet Sales at BYD UK, said: “BYD is excited to be attending Company Car in Action 2026. We’ll be showcasing BYD’s growing line-up, including popular fleet models such as the SEAL and SEALION, alongside new additions like the ATTO 3 EVO and ATTO 2 DM-i. It’s a great opportunity for fleet professionals to experience firsthand the choice, efficiency and innovation BYD is bringing to the market.”
